The City of Carmi, Illinois will be accepting bids for the demolition of the structures at 409 South Walnut Street and 615 North 7th Street, Carmi, IL. The property should be seeded and strawed at completion of the demolition. This demolition is being funded by the City of Carmi through the Illinois Strong Communities Program Grant.
Interested contractors must meet the following insurance requirements:
• Workmen’s Compensation and Employee’s Liability – Workmen’s compensation of not less than the statutory amount and employer’s liability of not less than $500,000 per person.
• Auto Insurance – A minimum combined single limit of not less than $500,000 for injuries, including accidental death, or damages caused by the contractor’s vehicles on the site.
• Comprehensive Public Liability – Not less than $1,000,000 for accidents or injuries for each occurrence, and not less than $2,000,000 in the aggregate for the policy term.
Illinois Prevailing Wage will apply in accordance with the Prevailing Wage Act.
Those interested is submitting a sealed bid must do so at Carmi City Hall, 225 E Main Street, by 3pm on September 18, 2024. Additionally, those submitting a bid should contact Holly Healy, City Administrator, to obtain Statement of Contractor’s Qualifications by phone at 618-384-2001 or via e-mail at [email protected] to include with the sealed bid.
The City of Carmi reserves the right to accept or reject any bid.
