The Carmi Chamber of Commerce named Macey Heil and Landon Niehaus as recipients of the 2022 Carmi Chamber of Commerce Scholarship during the CWCHS Senior Awards Day on Thursday, May 12th. Each recipient will receive a one-time scholarship worth $500.
During their four years at CWCHS Macey and Landon have been involved in several activities. Macey has been active in the National Honors Society, Student Council, STEM Club, Maroon Platoon, and golf. After graduation Macey will be continue her education at the University of Southern Indiana to begin her journey into the field of education.
Landon has been active in National Honors Society, Student Council, served as Treasurer of the FFA, and baseball. Landon plans are to attend Wabash Valley College and study Ag Business.
Carmi Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kelly Northcott stated, “Macey and Landon were both exemplary students during their time at CWCHS. The Chamber wishes them the best in their future endeavors and look forward to hearing of their individual successes.”
The Carmi Chamber of Commerce scholarship is funded by the annual Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament is scheduled to be held on August 20, 2022.
