The Carmi Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of Carmi, will be putting together a Trunk or Treat for area children on October 31 from 5-7pm.
Thanks to the generosity of First Bank, we will be using the parking lot behind City Hall and portions of First Bank. We invite our Chamber members, local businesses, churches and community organizations to participate and hand out treats to children.
While not required, the City will be participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project. We will be displaying a teal
pumpkin and providing non-food treats for children with food allergies. If your organization would like
to do this as well, we will provide a Teal Pumpkin Project flyer for display at your booth.

We will provide more information to local media on those participating and providing treats for children
closer to the event. Set up will begin at 4pm in the parking lot behind City Hall. Those participating will
be required to set up in the parking lot. For safety reasons, we ask that if you run out of candy, you stay
until 7pm. In previous years, we have served approximately 500 children.
