June Yard of the Month Announced

The Todd and Kayci Large family of 518 Abelson Drive has been selected as the Yard of the Month for June. They will be displaying the “Yard of the Month” sign and have received $50 in Carmi Gift Certificates. “We extend our congratulations to the Large family for this honor. Additionally, we appreciate the residents of Wabash Christian Retirement Center judging this contest for us,” stated Holly Healy of the Carmi Chamber of Commerce.
Guidelines for the Yard of the Month are as follows: The yard cannot be professionally maintained to be eligible for the award, and a yard can only win one time a season. Nominations may be made to the Chamber of Commerce by letter, e-mail or phone by the 10th of each month. You do not have to be nominated to win. The winning yards must be within the city limits of Carmi.
July nominations should be sent to Carmi Chamber of Commerce, 225 East Main St. Carmi, IL 62821; e-mail; [email protected] or phone, 382-7606. For July, nominations should be received no later than July 10.
The recipient of the Yard of the Month will receive a sign to display in their yard for the month and $50 Carmi dollars, which may be spent at any business in Carmi.
