An Ordinance Repealing Ordinance No. 747, 972 and 1434 and Establishing Rates for Service Calls for Carmi Light and Water Customers
- Article 1. Service Calls
- A. For each service call concerning electrical problems, defects or malfunctions from the weatherhead into the residence or building to which the service call is made
- B. For each service call concerning water problems, defects or malfunction from the water meter into the residence or disconnection or reconnection of service
- C. For each service call concerning sewer problems, defects or malfunctions from the City of Carmi’s main sewer line servicing the property to which the service call is made over and
across the property to which the service call is made; or reconnection or disconnection of service - D. All other service calls wherein the problem, defect or malfunction is not caused by or the fault of the City of Carmi or Carmi Light and Water
- Article 2. Charges for Service Calls
- A. For each service call as defined in Article 1, there shall be a charge of $100 for the first hour and $125 dollars for each additional hour. The minimum charge for all calls defined in Article 1 shall be $100
- B. Calls on City observed holidays shall incur an additional $50 fee
- Article 3. Billing of Charges for Service Calls
- Charges as herein established shall be billed and mailed by the last business day of each month by Carmi Light and Water. This bill will be separate of the normal utility bill. Service charges shall be due by the 15th of each month. The failure of the US Postal Service to deliver a bill does not release the resident of the charges
- Article 4. Repeal of Ordinance No. 747, 972 and 1434
- This Ordinance hereby repeals Ordinance No. 747, Ordinance No. 972, and Ordinance No. 1434. Any ordinance or part of Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance is hereby repealed
- This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days following passage, approval and publication
