AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC FLOW WITHIN THE CITY OF CARMI
BE IT ORDANIED by the City of Carmi, Illinois, that:
Section 1: All vehicular traffic traveling on Church Street and Kerney Street shall stop at the intersection of Church Street and Kerney Street. This shall be a four-way stop.
Section 2: The effect of this Ordinance is that upon its passage, the intersection of Church Street and Kerney Street shall become a four-way stop.
Section 3: Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than $150.00 nor more than $750.00 for each offense.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
Section 5: This Ordinance shall amend Carmi City Code Title 6, Chapter 1, Section 2-C.
Passed on a roll call vote by the City Council of the City of Carmi, Illinois, and approved by the Mayor, this 3rd day of June, 2025.
