The City of Carmi is notifying the general public that there will be an opportunity to provide comments for the City’s project planning to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for a multi-phase drinking water system rehabilitation and the Agency’s Intent to Issue Categorical Exclusion for the purpose of rehabilitating the existing tank. These projects are designated as IEPA project numbers L176797, L176798, & L176799 . A copy of the IEPA Intent to Issue Categorical Exclusion is available for public access at the City Hall.
The public is invited to submit comments for the project for 10 days after this public notice to the Carmi City Hall in care of the Holly Healy, City of Carmi, 225 East Main Street, Carmi, Illinois 62821 or to the IEPA in care of Fred Blanford, Bureau of Water, Infrastructure Financial Assistance Section, 1021 North Grand Avenue East, P.O. Box 19276, Springfield, IL 62794-9276.
