Roads Closed – beginning June 1, 2023

Both lanes of Main Street (Illinois 1) will be closed between the intersections of Main Street and Oak Street and Main Street and 4th Street beginning June 1, 2023. The closure is anticipated to last several weeks. Illinois Department of Transportation will be removing and replacing a culvert under Main Street, along with the relocation of water and sewer lines. Alternate routes should be used. The City of Carmi regrets any inconvenience.
